Sales exhibition, 11 April - 22 June 2013
It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to this year's Spring exhibition called Primavera. Spring has finally arrived! Again, we get to experience nature's awakening and resurrection - take part in a season that always has been and still is an important source of inspiration for artists and visual artists.
One of the artist's tasks is to communicate something about the periods they live in. A common feature of the artists in our exhibition, Edvard Munch, Rolf Nesch, Arne Ekeland, Gunnar S. Gundersen and Anna-Eva Bergman, is that they are all important members of the modernist, form experimental tradition. They all seek through their art to say something new about the picture’s opportunities in a transitional period.
A good mix of chance, availablitity, different starting points and ideas as well as trends often "decides" our exhibitions. This time, we are especially proud to showcase a rich and varied selection from the interwar period and the period immediately after World War II, and it is interesting to see how this period is also very well illustrated with the exhibition "From Munch to Slettemark" at the Munch Museum. Both are recommended!
We will this year show a broad and representative selection of our crafts traditions and heritage: Antiques and collectibles of high quality, beautiful Nøstetangen crystal, Norwegian 1700s silver and playful woodcraft, as well as paintings by Harald Sohlberg, Ludvig Karsten and Kai Fjell.
Be inspired - welcome to the Primavera!
We are always looking for quality art and antiques for all our exhibitions.
